The goal of this project is to spark an interest and “Make Agriculture Cool” to at least 1000 socially disadvantaged youth (ages 7-18 years old) living in the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State region with little to no exposure to the agriculture industry. This will be achieved by offering the “Make Agriculture Cool: A Traveling Agriscience School™.” The program will offer a total of 40 hands-on workshops (1-4 hours long depending on subject). Using agriscience and career exploration we will demonstrate how STEM plays an integral role in Agriculture.
The needed exposure to agriculture will generate a population of youth interested in the field and will provide a needed boost to the number of socially disadvantaged individuals entering the field in the future.
This campaign is to raise money to hold the 4o workshops ($500 each) and to buy equipment to be used during the workshops. If you have questions please contact Nadia Ruffin, MS firstname.lastname@example.org
